About My Topic

My topic is about Teen Drug Abuse.


I want people to learn that drugs is an addiction and it is very wrong to do and that drugs will make you do bad things. I think that because I know people who do heroin, weed, coke, and bars and they do many crazy things.


This issue needs to be addressed because many teenagers use drugs and it is a serious problem because drugs make you go crazy.

• What will your game teach the player about your topic? (Be specific!) How a lot of kids do drugs and what the use and how it is bad.

• Where does your game happen? It happens one a black background i made in flash.
  • Describe the world you will design for your game. It just will be a black background and i will put everything else in bright colors.
  • How will this setting add to the learning experience? I don't think it really will but it might hep them learn more with bright colors.

• How does your game world teach the player about your topic? It will teach the player about drugs and teen drug addiction and stuff with a facts page.

March Of The Penguins

1. I think they have to over come the walking to mate, like that is far to walk to mate 70 miles is far. I think they need to also overcome the weather because they carry the egg and they could die and kill the egg to.


2. The challenges they have are food they have to go like 4 months with out food that is crazy. The predators are also another challenge for them because when they get food they can get eating by their predator. 


3. They can get together and all huddle to get warmth, and they can all team up against the predator so they can in a way jump him and fight back and he just might swim away.


4. There is a period of time where there is no light because the earth is tilted and orbits around the sun.


5. It has to be a thick layer of ice because if not the baby penguins could possibly fall in the freezing water.


6. It  can negatively mess up the whole process of mating and making baby's because it can be too cold for the baby or something.

Playing To Learn Genre: Maze Games

I was playing some games that are like mazes they make u think a lot its very hard. I don't think i would lose but it takes a while to bet some of them. A long time ago i played a scary maze game and it made me look close to the screen because it had small spots i had to drag the ball through and i kept losing so I got mad. I got close to the screen and won but it scared me with a scary picture. Mazes are fun they are like brain teasers that's why i like them.

Playing To Learn Genre: Adventure

They adventure games were okay I played a couple games. Sally's energy ride was not really a lot of action just dragging and dropping things. The other game i played was Synchronized Saviors and it was fun it had a lot of flash movement and stuff like that. It had a loading page where it loaded up and it was cool he had a little box that moves. You pick up trash with the box and all that its cool it help me learn not to liter.

We played games off of playing to learn. I played the gravity game and I got far but it was hard at some points. I played a lot of games also survivor and that was hard but I beat I. I didn't know what the point of that game was but I played it.

How old were you on September 11, 2001?
When September 11, happened I was 2.                                        When did you first learn about the attacks and who explained the events to you?
I think I learned about it when I was in 4th grade.
What kind of impact did these attacks have on your life or your parents lives?
It impacted violence because what they did to all the innocent people that was wrong and when i think of them doing it to my family it makes me want to hurt them because i cant live with out my family.
What was the issue with this game?
There wasn't really a social issue it was people trying to make money for something terrible that happened.
How do you feel about it?
I think its not right that the people use this terrible thing into a game they don't know how it feels it wasn't in there country or it wasn't any of there families.                                                       What is the problem with portraying on such an awful violent event through a video game?
It is wrong because that was a bad moment and people son's, daughter's  mom's,and dad's died in that place then they make a game out of it, that hurts people.                                                       How can you make sure that your web games tell the whole story or teach a lesson in an honorable way?
I wouldn't make a game out of it I think that is wrong i would make a little movie clip and say good things about it not bad.

  It means to have a story about a place or a community, mostly everyone knows the same story.

  I heard that at my elementary there was a lot of fights but when I went there there wasn't hardly any fights only maybe 1.

  I heard that at Travis high school there are full of pregnant girls and when i went there i didn't see one pregnant girl.

The Lightining Thief

Today we finished watching Percy Jackson in The Lighting Thief. The movie was good it wasn't like the book well some was. Grover was my favorite character he is funny and cool. In the movie Zeus thinks Percy stole his lighting bolt. He told them that if he don't bring his lighting bolt back he will start war. Percy was trying hard to get it back but he went to get his mom first, then found out that the lighting bolt was in the shield Luke let him use. Luke stole the lighting bolt and Percy returned it.

Field Trip

 Yesterday we went to Sea World. It was awesome even though they only had 2 roller coasters, there was the Steel Eel, The Great White and this ship thing but it gets you all wet. I got on The Great White like 5 or 6 times it was crazy because it will flip you in the air and all that. Then I got on The Steel Eel like3 or 4 times it was awesome but when i picked my hands up i would float up and the ride would slam my chest hard on the pole. The ride that gets you wet i got on like 3 times i really got wet like a lot i was so wet i took off my shirt but i had a muscle shirt on. Now on Friday we get to go to schlitterbahn I'm so happy and excited.

Apollo 13

 We watched Apollo 13 and it was a real good movie. They were going to fly to the moon when the ship had an explosion. They worked real hard to fix it, many people were trying to help. They got into the little space ship thing and let go all of the other space ship. When they were suppose to be on earth everyone was worried they were crying thinking they died. They waited and waited until 4 minutes later and they came. The helicopters came and saved them. Everyone was happy to see them all the navy seals were saluting them.

The Lightining Thief

 The first 2 chapters of The Lightning Thief are about that he is at a private school. His mom has to get 2 jobs to pay for his school. His favorite teacher is in a wheel chair and they go to a museum for a field trip. When they go to the field trip this annoying girl falls in the water in says that Percy pushed her. She takes Percy to a room and turns into some kind of creature. The teacher throws him a pen which turns into a sword. Then Percy kills her and everyone says they don't know who she is when he brings it up. The only people that know is the teacher and his best friend.

School

 I am so happy school is almost over but that sucks we have to stay a week late. I thought we wouldn't have to go to school an extra week because we went 3 weeks in the summer. The thing about school i don't like at all is the book reports i think that is so boring i hate that. The rest of school is good, school is also too long i don't like that. School if OKAY. I like to learn and all that but most projects are too hard.

My Game Is Finished

My game is finally finished. My partner and i have worked hard on our game. I made the solar panel get the houses. Another one of my game scenes is when a boy has to get across the page without getting hit by the houses.  The hardest thing about the game design was the codes i had no idea where to put most of them. I'm proud that i finished this game and i made it fun. I really didn't learn anything from my topic, the only thing i learned was that electricity waste a lot of energy and solar energy is way better. Globaloria is fun I'm glad i was able to come to this school to do globaloria. I had fun with the codes even though they made me mad, the fact knowing something was hard for me made me want to do it more.

Stand And Deliver

 Stand And Deliver was awsome my favorite part was when Angel says "The mailman gave me the answer's, I strangled him and he is decomposing in my locker." Its about how students in a poor school have this teacher come they all call him Kemo. He was teaching them and decided to teach calculess. Then they all signed his contract and they were going to school in the summer and learning. Then when they took the test they all passed but collage bored accused them of cheating so they descided to retake the test and they all passed again and Angel got one of the highest grade in class.

Taks Test

 I'm very nervous that Taks Test. I think that they should give us a couple of days to do it because i get really tired of reading in don't feel like going and finding answers. I'm confident on that ill do good o the test but i wish they gave us a couple of days so i can do even great. I got a 100% on the reading benchmark and hope i get the same on the Taks.

iPads For Kids

 I think the iPad for kids is so awesome. I think its cool because the get to use iPads instead of flipping through book pages. My grandma said that the news said that getting laptops or computers instead of buying text books would be a lot cheaper. I would like for my school to have iPads i think that will be really cool.

Game Demo Progress

 On my game demo i have changed the different colors on the demo.  I have also wrote all the information in like who made the game. I also put how to win and whats the goal. On my demo it also tells people what they will learn.  On my demo i put buildings in the background of the game home page.

Style Factor: What kind of graphic/animation style will you use? What kind of sounds?: They will se a moving cloud in the background and there will be bombs that you have to put in the house.

Originality Factor: What makes your game special and unique? Why will it sell?: My game is unique because i made it myself in it took a lot of work and its pretty fun blowing up the house. I think it'll sell because kids like blowing up things.

Cool Math

 One of the games i played on cool math was boombot 2. Boombot was about you have to have bombs that blow the person to like the exit. My game involves bombs so i can do what they did on Boombot to my game. The bombs on Boombot go bigger and smaller when you hold it. I would like to do that on my game its pretty cool. When the bomb get bigger it gets stronger so that will be cool on my game.

 My progress on my game is good. I have done a lot of things on m game pages. I mad the win and loose page. I made the game home page. Now im done with making one of my levels. The thing you have to do is put the grenade in the house and it will blow up. I did that and its cool.

Obama

 Dear President Obama,

 I think you should come to our school because we ar the only school in Texas that has globaloria. Our school is almost like the school you visited because we will have 6th-12th grade but right now we are moving up a grade every year till we get to 12th. Our school is good and we have a lot of good students. Obama should come and talk to us because our school is mostly about great grades and going to college.

What Ever It Takes

 There is this guy he is the principle of the school. The principle wanted to work in business but he was just praying to God and he told God to give him a sign on what he should do. Then the princeple go a teaching license and he got a job. Then there was a gilr and she was in a foster home and her mom would write her letters. Then her mom told her that she got tooken away because her mom would smoke crack. The girl passed her test and she went to collage.

Cool Math

My favorite game  was the Taxi Driver. I think it could help me because it will give me ideas. Some ideas are that they can like help me think about my key control. The game can help me think of all different kind of graphics i cant put in my game.

The Wizard

There is a little boy named Jimmy and they put him into a mental institution. His brother went to go get him out of the home. They were trying to go to California but the ticket is to much so Jimmy is playing games and he beats a lot of people for there money. They go to California and play in the tournament. He wins then the thing he wanted to do is put his sisters pictures where she was most happy at, in California.

Spring Break

 In Spring Break I'm mostly going to have fun. I am going to the rodeo with my friends and this girl I'm in love with. We are going to have fun and during Spring Break I'm goin to buy some red Vans for the first time and I'm going to buy a red hat. I'm going to try and have fun but I really dont know what to do. I have a couple of things planned but I sure hope more ideas come to my head.

Future

 In  the future i think i will not drop out of school. I will probably be in Harvard University or Texas University. I will have a 3 story house and my house will have a pool in the back with a basket Ball court next to it. I will have a Lamborghini, Escalade, hummer, Cadillac and a lot more cars. i will be rich and have so many things.

Paper Prototype Reflection

 Making my paper prototype was like making my game. It has helped me because i know what i need know in my game. People would try my paper prototype and they would tell me what they think i should fix. When they tell me i find out ways to fix it and make it better. My prototype has help so i can fix things on the computer and make it perfect.

Boxing

 I have boxing pracrice every day exept Friday, and Suday. I have to practice for about an hour and a half. I always stretch before i practice and i always have my back crunched so my back hurts alot. We always do hard activities in boxing like one we have to walk while squating and we have to hold our hands up while acting like your fighting, it hurts! After all that we stretch again and jump rope and run then we are done.

 My game idea is about solar energy and saving energy. You will have to shoot solar panels on houses to save energy.

Malcolm X

 Malcolm X is a Muslim. One of his brothers was beaten by the white police man. He was mad and they put his brother in jail.  Malcolm X and the Nation Of Islam went to the jail where the put his brother and they said they wouldn't leave till they see him. The police let them see him and they said to rush him to the hospital. Well Malcolm and his brothers started walking to the hospital. While walking many people started to join walking with them.
 Malcolm went to Egypt and was learning about more Muslims. He was staying with all colors drinking from the same cup and sharing everything with them. He came back to the United States and was telling everyone that their leader is not telling the truth. He said that only black people are Muslims and when Malcolm told them about the Muslims, they stopped going to that church. They started going to Malcolm's church and the Nation Of Islam was mad. They wanted to kill Malcolm for making the Nation Of Islam loose money. While Malcolm was preaching the came to his church and killed Malcolm in front of his kids.

My team game idea is about saving energy, and people will learn to use solar energy instead of using a lot of energy.

2. How did the ideas you discussed in "Imagining Your Game" come together to help your team decide on a game topic?
Because my game idea had action in my partner game idea is about saving energy so our game is shooting solar panels onto houses.

I draw and Genevieve writes and we both look up information.

The web and we haven't finished looking up facts in information.

The player will jump and move to shoot and dodge houses that are bad for our planet.

6. Has this changed since you first started planning your game? How?
Yes because we are adding a little bit of math equations and there are floating houses and everything is in the sky.

Malcolm X

Malcolm X was born in Omaha, Nebraska and was born on May 19, 1925 and died February 21, 1965.Malcolm Little was also known as El-Hajj Malik El-Shabazz and he was an African-American Muslim minister, public speaker, and human rights activist. The white Americans accused Malcolm of preaching racism and violence. When Malcolm was thirteen, his father had died and his mother had been put into a mental hospital.  After living in a lot of foster homes, Malcolm X became involved in lots of criminal activities in Boston and New York. In 1946, Malcolm X was sentenced to eight to ten years in prison for sleeping with white women.While in prison, Malcolm X became a member of the Nation of Islam, and after his parole in 1952 he became one of the Nation's leaders and chief spokesmen. While in prison, Malcolm earned the nickname of "Satan" for his hostility toward religion. Less than a year after he left the Nation of Islam, Malcolm X was assassinated by three members of the Nation of Islam while giving a speech in New York.

Mad Hot Ballroom 2

 The main idea was to work hard and have fun. One teacher told all the students "the key to success in life is to find something you love to do and do it very well." There was a team and they worked hard practiced all the time. Then at the finales they won the gold trophy.They were so happy they practiced and practiced and the won, all the teachers were happy and so were the kids.

Learning Goal

My game idea is to have a couple of math problems. My games math questions will make the player think during the game. The other reason that my game can teach people is to save energy. There is a chance that if people use all the energy we will die earlier. My game is trying to teach students how to save energy.

Malcolm X

 I was only able to see a little of Malcolm X because I went to a field trip. I saw that when Malcolm was a boy his dad was a minister and was killed by a races gang called the KKK. When they killed his dad they separated him and his brother an sisters. Malcolm grew up in a white family and went to a white school. When he was a boy in school the teacher told him he couldn't be a lawyer, the teacher told Malcolm your only good at picking up things. When Malcolm grew up he wasn't a lawyer he was working in a train, and when he was working for a drug dealer he didn't give that guy the money so the drug dealer wanted to kill Malcolm. He decided he will rob the city and leave. He went robbing people and when he was getting a haircut he was caught and went to jail for 8-10 years in prison.

Oregon Trail 2

 The Oregon Trail game is bout a person you have to be in you have to survive with a certain amount of money.  You will live like it was in the old days like when there was no technology or no cars. You have to buy food, parts for the wagon, clothes, and bullets for your gun. You will travel and pass threw rivers and you can even go hunting.

Mad Hot Ballroom

 Today we watched Mad Hot Ballroom. It was about these schools in New York that having dancing classes. These schools have this program for free and the students will work hard and learn to dance. When they get good at the dances the teachers have to choose who should go and represent the school. When they do go to the competition they compete and only some teams win. There was a school that lost and all the students started to cry.

I think this game is made for students in middle school to show them how it was in the old days without technology.

There are people that are traveling and you have to buy food , make sure the people are healthy and hunt.

You only have a serten amount of money and you have to buy food, ammo, clothes, and other thing like things for there waggon.You win by staying alive and making it to Oregon.

He will learn how to live in the old days without all the technology.

How To Behave

  We were bad because some people were talking. I was trying to tell them to be quite but they kept on talking and it took us 10 minutes to calm down that why were aren't playing a game. We need to just stop talking and learn. Sometimes its the same people and it makes me mad because me and the class have to get in trouble for what that one person does. Everyone just needs to stop talking for once they can talk at lunch or during passing period.

My Dream For The Future

 My dream for the future is to be a computer engineer.I want to graduate from Harvard or UT. I want to make a lot of money, I would be a Doctor but i might throw up while operating on a person. My goal is to graduate from one of those colleges while playing football for Texas I am going to graduate live in a apartment save money to get a car and when i get a car I'm going o save to get a 3 story house. My house is going to have up to 10 bedrooms and a bathroom in each room.I will have a pool and jacuzzi in the backyard,with a basketball court and a little playground.

Team

I think teams are pretty good but the only thing i don't like is that you don't get to pick your teammate or you really don't know what to do when there absent. If there gone you wont be able to make team decision you have to just do what you think.I like it because you have to minds working on one thing, like when you don't know how to do one thing your partner might know how.I think teams are cool to have because you can also get closer to people you really don't hang with.

About My G

 My characters name is Ammar  and he is worried about dieing early. He just wants to live life and wants everyone to save energy. If they save energy there is a chance that they might die early for using to much energy. He will go shooting solar panels on houses. He will help the world save energy by using solar energy.Then the people that don't use solar energy he will blow there houses up.

Play Testing

 We played some games and they were pretty cool. I think my game shouldn't have a quiz page. My team should put the questions while playing the game. Like when your playing the game there will be a question that will pop up saying something and you will have to shoot the house that it says.

The Pact

We just saw the movie The Pact and it had these 3 African American men that became a doctor. They came out of a bad neighborhood and still became doctors. One of the doctors had went to jail for arm robbery and he spent 1 month in jail and 2 years probation. That same doctor desided to quite being a doctor and going to help the community. He thinks that helping kids from being on the street is better thatn being a doctor. I liked the movie i think it was cool. It kind of emspired me to go to college because they grew up around drugs and in a bad neighborhood just like me. I think if they can do i can too.

This Weekend

This weekend me and my friend Marcos are going to the movies. I don't know what to got watch but me and him are going to go have fun. After seeing a movie him and i might go to the mall. Me and him might go buy some things or just walk around.

What I learned This Week

 This week i was working on my game. My partner and i were working on our game picture and our game idea. My team is still working on our paper prototype but we are almost done. My partner and I have been coming up with new ideas to help our game be better. Our game is about helping the world save energy.

Diary Of A Wimpy Kid

 I have been reading Diary Of A Wimpy Kid The Last Straw. In the book the characters are Greg,Rodrick,Greg's mom and dad and Greg's little brother. In the book Greg goes to class and they find out the teachers dictionary is missing, so they cant have recess. They are all mad and so they try real hard to get it back. They ask this kid and he said he will find it for 5 dollars. They give him 5 dollars and he picks up the book he is reading and it was the dictionary.

Winter Break

 On winter break i went to Bastrop TX. I had fun because on Christmas we went over there and i was riding the motorcycle. It was crazy because they wrapped my present in a Fiber 1 cereal box, but i didn't open it till my uncle said it didn't fell like cereal. I was laughing when i opened it because i thought it was cereal but it was a game. After that i was up stairs downloading games to my ipod. Then I downloaded it to the newest version and it deleted all of my games and the apple id i had on it. Now its real hard for me to put games on it. I'm glad I'm back because its real boring with out school.
