Winter Break

 I cant wait till winter break but at the same time I don't want to go. I really want to go because I will get to stay home and not go to school. I really don't want to go because I will be away from my friends and I wont get to see them. I really also don't want to go because I will have a lot of homework.

The Lottery

 The rest of the movie was saying that said it cost 37,000 for just one prisoner and it cost 13,00 for on student a year. There was a man that was sentenced with life in prison. He said that he was a good kid in school and he never did nothing bad. He said that he saw guys with big money and stuff like the new Jordans and new clothes. He wanted money like them so he went robbing stores and he said that ended up selling drugs.

The Lottery

 The Lottery was about Harlem Success Academy. They are trying to get other kids off the street and stop selling drugs and stuff. There are people in the movie that is against charter schools. They will protest against them and also pay people to protest with them.

What Are You Proud Of

 I'm am proud of everything I've accomplished. I am proud that I'm in school getting great grades. I'm proud that I don't get in trouble. I'm also proud that I'm not in gangs or not doing wrong in life.

Tonight

 Tonight their is our 2nd school dance this year. There is also a foot ball game at the boys girls club. I'm thinking weather I should go to the football game or our school dance. I don't know what to do I really want to go to the dance and I really want to go to the football game I'm just thinking if I should just go home??

The Whipping Boy

 I am reading The Whipping Boy and Prince Brat was in trouble by his dad the King. He was mad so he tried to run away and he told the whipping boy Jemmy he had to go with him. When the left they ran in to some criminals. The criminals captured Prince Brat and Jemmy. They try to play a scheme on the criminals and they trick the into thinking Jemmy was the Prince.

New Classes

 My new classes are good but I really don't like them because my friend is not in any of my classes except for 1 class. I like to because I met more people I didn't know. The other thing I don't like is all my friends except 1 is in A lunch and I'm in B lunch so I think that's wrong.  I think the new schedule is cool but would make it better if I had my friend in every class.

My game idea is:


 I would like to have my game with lots of buildings and you have to shoot them down.  You would shoot them and it would be hard because you will have to move a bar to see how far you want it.  Then there will be 5 buildings and then you will get 6 shots. If you don't knock down all the buildings with your shots you will loose and start all over.

Genre

My favorite game was drift runners its fun you get to drive around the track and you have to try and win. I learned the first racing game was released in 1974.

The book I'm Reading

The book I'm reading is The Whipping Boy.  The main characters are Prince Brat his whipping boy Jemmy. One day Prince Brat's dad had a dinner and lots of people came. When they were siting down the Prince tied all their wigs to their sits so when they stood up to toast the King, their wigs came off. The people were all screaming when Prince Brat was laughing in the corner.

Into The Arms Of Strangers

Into The Arms Of Strangers is about Jewish children being captured by Nazi's. The Nazi's would strip the Jewish kid's parents from there jobs. The Jewish kids were not able to go to school because the Nazi's shut down the schools and the buildings were all trashed. When the Nazi's were arresting the Jews there was one man who told the Nazi's that they shouldn't be treating the old people like that so they made a example of him and beat him to death. There was little girl and she went to England and she told her parents you are getting rid of me, you adopted me and you don't want me anymore. When she left on the train she saw her parents crying real bad and she starting writing them a letter and told them that she was sorry for telling them that. The dad was chasing the train and ending up pulling his daughter out and she got heart bad.

   When the children were in England they were like pets parents would just choose them like nothing.One of the children went to some parents and showed them a picture of her little sister and said if they can make her a visa to go over there.Well the uncle hates red heads and her sister was a red head. He asked her what is the color of your sisters her and she said brown. When her sister  got there he was mad and she told him why do you care about the hair color so he just keep her.

Rosa Parks

I have read that when Rosa Parks was a little girl she was in a segregated place. She said that when she saw a little white boy he threatened to hit her and she picked up a brick. Later that day she told her mom that she did that and her mom told her that she shouldn't do that. Rosa was asking why and her mom said that they just don't do that.

The Diary Of Anne Frank

The movie Diary Of Anne Frank was about some Jews that were suppose to go to labor camp which means they were suppose to be killed. They had lived at the top of a office and more and more people came. They all were hiding sharing a little room and the little food they had. They lived there for 2 years and then they finally got caught. They all went to some camps and they all were killed except 1 but he died later on.

Mini Game

  The thing I liked the most was that when we got to make it move. The least thing I liked was the first step because we didn't really do alot. I would like to learn how to keep score on something which we will be doing because its step 6. I really don't have anything else I want to learn.

Weekly Blog November 1

  Today I learned alot like I didn't know how to do that when you can move the picture and all that. We were on Adobe Flash and we had pictures of a wolf, pizza, rabbit, carrot and chocolate. We named them and saved it. Then we deleted all of them except the carrot and we put a sentence in which made the picture move.
  I learned lots of thing so far. Now I know how to like move images. I also learned how to change names of a programs. Now I can do the programs and make a game or something.
   My class 6-C will be working on a little game. We are ready learned how to save a image. We also learned how to move it to another side. The cool thing is that we learned how to make it move by itself. I think this week we are going to put more thing in it and make it a game.
  We have been working on flash. I have already learned how to make a character move with the arrows. I can make the picture move by itself while moving a rabbit.
  I'm think today we might draw again. It was so cool yesterday we drew shapes and colored them in. It had shade and some had rainbow colors together in a shape. I also hope to learn more about making the graphics in the game designing.

Weekly Blog

Today we watched a movie and it was real good. I didn't get to watch the beginning but I'm pretty sure that was good too. The part that I was watching shows a guy talking about how he met a girl and he really liked her. When he had to leave the girl died a little after he left . The paperclips were representing the people who were killed. (6 million Jews and 5 million other people)
   Yesterday I learned what had happened to some kids and it was sad. In that movie they used paper clips for the people who died. There were about 11 million paper clips. That means there were 11 million people who died. I only saw the ending so that all I really don't know alot about Paper Clip the movie.
   I learned more about urban sprawl which means that there are to many buildings. I know that if there are to many buildings that there will not be alot of soil.
   I had researched and learned about Urban Sprawl. I had to write about the website and make sure that its not a bad profile and it don't have bad things on it like dead links or virus. We had to put information like the author and when it was published.
  This is what I learned about this week.

Communication

We use communication to talk to people online and meet new people all over the world. I talk online cause i don't have a phone yet. But some ways people talk to each others is myspace, facebook blogger and alot more. I have a facebook to talk to my dad because i don't have a phone so that's how we communicate. I think yahoo is the best because you get to talk back and forth and it has games, you even get to make a character

Nutrition

I think that to keep our plants healthy we need to stop making so many buildings because if we have buildings then the soil will dry and what do you plant, plants in?  There is a movie I've seen called "Super size Me" and it shows a guy eating McDonald's for 30 days. Eating vegetables is good because you wont be overweight. The food like hamburgers and other fast foods have lots of medicine like steroids. 

This Weekend

I can't wait for the dance tonight its going to be fun! After the dance I'm going to go to my friend Rudy's house. We are going to have fun, we are going chill hang out. We are going stay playing games, watching T.V. Its going to fun this weekend just chilling with my friend.

Too Many buildings

Too many buildings is important to me because if we don't let our soil get water it will dry out. There are too many buildings and when the water falls it will just go back to the rivers, lakes, and oceans. The soil need water or it will die and the ground will look like we are in the desert. That why I wanted to choose this to learn more about.

Blue Gold Thoughts

My thoughts on the movie Blue Gold, I think the movie Blue Gold was ok so far its pretty cool. It was mostly talking about water and that we shouldnt throw stuff or trash on the floor then it goes to lakes and river and then ends up in the oceans. There were buildings in the movie and it said that the buildings were blocking the water from getting to the ground.

The Biggest Challenge

I think the biggest challenge for me was when I went on a hike and bike trail. I road my bike from Chicano park to down town and back. I was so tired I have never been on a bike that long . I was sick when i got home, I was so tired I fell straight to sleep when I got home. That was my biggest challenge through out my whole life!

Water Cycle

The water cycle game was about the water cycle. It tells you what is the water cycle and what it does. It also says what precipitation,condensation,evaporation vapor is and allot more. Water cycle games is pretty cool.

Friday (My Choice)

Friday is my favorite day of the week its when we get off school early! We get to go home for the weekend, and we don't have to wake up early. Sometimes I don't like weekends because I don't get to see my friends and I might have nothing to do that weekend.  But Fridays is cool you get to stay up late don't have any homework.

Most Meaningful Movie

I think Food Inc. really touched me. I think that's wrong the way they did animals by killing them and making them fat so they can sell faster. The way little baby chickens are treated are wrong because when they are born the people stamp something in there neck. The guy showed us what they did and they stuffed the chicken insides and just threw them in the box.That is why i think this is the most meaning full movie to me.

Dirt

Dirt was all about dirt like on the floor dirt. The guy on the movie said that 4 1/2 billion years ago the planet earth was full of volcanoes and lava all over. They also said that dirt was made of mausoleum, and water  is never new. The guy took a drink of water and said he took a sip of dinosaur pee. The guy took dirt off the ground and ate it and said it was good, he said dirt makes wine better. The dirt on land has to be healthy or else hurricanes and floods will be bigger and worse.

Devil (My Choice)

Devil is cool it was that scary only one part scared me nothing else. It starts off five people get in the elevator. The elevator stopped and the girl got cut it looked like a bite mark. The lights went out again and the glass broke and the mattress salesman was killed. The cop was there and told them to stay away from the dead body. The lights went out again and the grandma died and the other guy. There was only one guy left and the grandma came back to life and made the other guy tell what he did. He said that he did a hit and run ( hit and run meas they got in a wreck and left before the cops came.) and killed the cops wife and kids.

Food Inc.

This movie Food inc. was a movie about how animals like pigs, chickens, and cows and how they get soldered.This movie can help us not to kill animals and be vegetarians. It cost more on vegetable than fast foods because people eat more fast food than vegetable.

Back To School Night

Tonight is back to school night. What is one thing you have learned or accomplished this year that you would like to share with your family? Please explain. It does not have to be something from this class.

I would like for them to see how well I'm doing! I would want them to know that I know how to put videos on my blogger and and wiki. I would want them to know how well I'm doing in all classes.I want to show my mom that I'm good at computers to just like her.

Hot Tub Time Machine (My Choice)

The movie hot tub time machine was cool and funny! At first there friend that always ask for money was drinking and singing a song. He was pressing on the gas and almost killed himself. So his friends went back to where they grew up and went into the hot tub. They were drinking something from Russia and it spilled and made them go back in time. So they lived there life over for about a day and went back to the hot tub and went back in time. But someone stayed behind.

Social Issues 2

I think a social issue for this week is that we should not waste things. We should recycle before we throw something away. I think that people should stick with something they like not something that brand new. Like if you buy a ipod you should keep it even if there is a new one that just came out. You shouldn't get it because its new our because everyone else has it.

Least affective game(Zeitgeist)

The learning in this game is that you have to read and answer questions.  This game has no social issue.I really didn't learn anything. I think the game was an action game because after you got all answer right you got to play the game where you can shoot the bad guy. I think the game is already cool enough so it don't really need to be changed but it needs something educational.  The designs didn't look like a regular game but it was cool. It works well and is very good, that's my favorite game on the wiki. But I didn't learn anything on this game. This is the link: Zeitgeist

Most Affective Game(Medical Mysteries)

The game that taught me the most about its learning topic was Medical Mysteries. This game helps you figure out what are diseases and what they can do to you. The social issue in this game is to explores the topic of preventing and fighting diseases. You can learn what causes diseases and how to prevent them. Medical Mysteries is an adventured games. Adventure games are a good choice for a learning game because the story keeps the player involved and being able to see how what you are learning can help you in the real world is also helpful. Social Issue

A social issue is something that affects many people at one time. What are some social issues that are important to you? Why are they important?

I think social issue is pollution. If people keep polluting our world would burn from to much sunlight. If we keep polluting the ozone layer will get big and more sun light will be in the earth. That's why people should recycle and not throw food on floors. People should plant more plants and save cans to recycle.

Takers ( My Choice)

The movie takers is so cool! Its about T.I making a deal with Russians to get back at the people who set him up and let him take the fall for what they did. Later T.I and Chris Brown ends up getting killed. The movie was so cool you have to see it.

Favorite Genre

My favorite game is call of duty modern warfare 2. I like action games. There cool I like war, killing games for some reason. There are so many levels and its cool you can play online, play with other people.

FAVORITE GAME

You have played many video and computer games throughout your life. What are some of your favorites? What do you like about them? What do they have in common?

My favorite game is the torture game! I like the torture game because you get to hurt the person until he dies.You can cut him with a chainsaw or a knife, you can also shoot the guy with guns like A hand gun, shot gun, and a machine gun .You could even paint him red, blue, green and any other color. I think this game is cool. People who have a lot of anger inside should play it and let out all the anger in a game.

GROWN UPS (My Choice)

Grown ups is my favorite movie! It's so funny and it has all my favorite actors in it. If you see the movie you will like it it will probably be your favorite movie. I'm not going to tell you the movie you have to see it for your self.

INCOVINENT TRUTH

The movie was about how global warming can affect people and the world!(The movie was made in 2005)The movie was saying that if people keep polluting, the worlds ice will melt.That president bush brother blocked off the roads so people couldn't vote for the other person running for president.

FIRST WEEK

The week was cool we got our locker after a few days! I can't wait till we get our badges! I made a lot friends and boys and girls club was even more fun. I like social studies the most because Mr.B is fun and in P.E we got to play games! I don't like the food that much but i eat at boys and girls club.
