Game Idea Reflection

  • Who are you designing your game for? (Include the player's age, abilities, and prior knowledge of your topic.) I am designing my game to teach teenagers like myself to stay away and don't get addicted to drugs.
  • What will your game teach the player about your topic? (Be specific!) How a lot of kids do drugs and what the use and how it is bad.
  • Where does your game happen? It happens one a black background i made in flash.
    • Describe the world you will design for your game. It just will be a black background and i will put everything else in bright colors.
    • How will this setting add to the learning experience? I don't think it really will but it might hep them learn more with bright colors.
  • How does your game world teach the player about your topic? It will teach the player about drugs and teen drug addiction and stuff with a facts page.
    • What happens in the world that helps the player learn? They will have fun and to keep playing they will have to answer questions.
    • How does the player use what they learned to make something happen in the game? They will have to answer questions to keep playing.
  • Why is a game a better way of understanding your topic than a quiz? It is better because you learn more by playing and having fun not just a boring quiz.

  2. The blog was very interesting because teens that take drugs often do not even get out of high school. It this is good that you wrote about this topic also this game that you will make. Could also help young children not use drugs and think they are cool if they do take drugs.

  4. Well we both have almost the same topic. My topic is Gang violence so drugs come up in my game a lot. I say that you should put a little more details in how your game is going to be created and I think you need more details into how your game is going to be fun for the player to play. This Is laura by the way:).
