Imagine Team Game

We are making this game for kids ages 9-13 because they start to understand more about legal services. I thinks this is a good age group because they get to learn about what is going on in the u.s and then they wonder why their parents get deported.  I want this game to be about immigrants and the problems they face. I also want this game to have information what some legal services that people face here in the United States.Our game is going to be made in Laredo, Texas. Laredo has immigration officers because they are next to the boarder, but there has been immigrants that lived there for years, but have never broken the law. They fear deportations and they only work to put food in the table for their family.The game is going to be a game where you have to make smart decisions where you go too or do.We choose American Gateways to be our organization for our game because some people are not legal to be here in the u.s.

Team Topic

We chose this topic because it was something we were all interested in and we all liked that topic.The only thing we did was chose some web sites about legal services and that's it but the way we chose this web sites was we looked around and found some good web site that we all  liked and decide to chose those web sites.

Building A Mini Game

Building a mini game is a difficult thing but it is cool and fun. You learn many things by trying to figure it out yourself. I learned how to put music and other stuff i think this game is my best yet.

Playing To Learn 2

There are many different genres. The game that caught my i was the Algebra Find, i don't know why i just love math. I'm good at it and who doesn't love what there good at. The genre was math and it was good. I dont have questions because it was pretty good to me. I liked the music and the whole math part.

Present Your Hidden Object Game

My game is a hidden object game. It is on a school subject. My game is based on history such as Jamestown. I want people to  learn what wasn't there back then that is usually done or in position now.When you play it you have to find objects that don't belong. Here is a few for example, phone, McDonald's and a iPod. 

Adding Game Ingredients

For my adding game ingredients i made a splash screen or as i call it a title screen. It wasn't hard at all I've always did title screen in flash for games. The other thing i did was do a background music thing. When ever you click the button to play only go on it once because the song repeats after a while and it sounds dumb but i don't know how to change that. The song plays the whole time though.

Hidden Objects

Drawing the objects was tough but not as tough as the background. I got confused with my objects. I thought it be better to put our time technology in there time so it could be better for the people and me. I decided to put things like iPhone or iPad or something like that because it don't belong in there time so that could be what they were looking for.

Tracing Background

Making my background wasn't that hard I've always been good at flash i don't know its just like one of my best subjects in this school. My background was about the the old days like James Town. It has old houses and lakes and things.

Plan Game Scene

 My goal is to make it kind of easy but kind of hard at the same time. I want to make it as realistic as possible. I can imagine it but its going to be hard because flash is pretty hard too.

Making A Paper Prototype

Making a paper prototype is hard in a way. You have to think a lot, i got a head ache thinking some much ha. You pick a topic and focus real hard to try and make a hidden game on it. My topic was to the 13 colonies. That is very hard to make a hidden object game on. I decided to do what the states need. Such as food, water and things.  The problems i had were i didn't know what to put as a hidden object. That was the main problem and really the only one.

Game Topic

  For my topic i want to do Social Studies. I want to do my game on this topic because not many people really know history. I think what i'm going to focus on is US history or maybe something else i don't know until i research it all. I want to have a story or a couple paragraphs on a topic and have questions before he or she can play the game.
 I really want my topic to be on the states of United States development. I want to make a game where they have to read then answer questions before having fun playing the game.

Playing To Learn Part 1

 The games i played on playing to learn are helpful and doing with school. They are educational but they are boring. Not many people want to play a boring game.
 What i want to do is make me game super fun, but at the same time educational. The games i played game me many idea's like making a game action or trying to find something in the games and something educational pop up some day.

1. What did you think about the article? I think this article says a lot of information about the Globey awards. I also think that it recognizes everyone that participated in the globeys which is good. 2. How did it make you feel to read about your school and Globaloria, a program that you participate in? It felt really good to read about our school because it shows that its getting the attention it needs and deserve for us as a school to expand. I also like reading about Globaloria because our school is the only school that has it in Texas and I really appreciate it because it teaches us something nobody else is being taught. 3. If your game was featured in the article, how did it make you feel? Proud, happy? My game was not mentioned in the article but im sure people whos games were mentioned made them feel really great . 4. If your game was not featured in the article, what would you like for the author to have said about your game? If my game would of been featured in the article I would have liked for the author to say something good about my game and also give information about it. 5. Which game do you think the author should have mentioned in his article and why? I think the author should have mentioned No gangs more maze , which is an 8th graders game because I think its a really good game. Also I know the creator of the game worked really hard and tried her best.

Forks Over Knives

I think this documentary will be about eating good food instead of bad like instead of eating fast food eat and apple or something. Mainly just about eating healthy.

I think its some what talking about what you use to eat with. Such as you eat steak or mostly meat with a knive and you eat fruit and salad with a fork.

Notes;

Many American's are over-weight. One in five children are over-weight. That is sad, they say that this may be the first generation to live lesser than their parents. By 2007 222 pounds of meat and 1990 they ate only 40 pounds of meat. If people keep eating meat the way we do substances build up in our arteries and that is how a lot of people have heart problems. There finding that when Asian people some to United States they get obese. The food in the US is in a way bad for you.
Research about animal protein, research that it might be able to increase cancer cells. I think its cool that people take time out of their life to try and help people make their lives better and healthier.
Some Doctors make an effort to help people but one doctor said that this one lady is so bad she couldn't be helped so he told her to sit down and die. Many animal based foods were not healthy.

Final Game

This final game. My game is about teen drug abuse, I've seen a lot of things in my life but I've never came out in told someone. When Ms.Arcos told us to pick a topic i wanted to do this. In my game you have to stay on the right path and don't fall to the wrong one and die.

Respect

What does it look like ?
In the classroom - In the classroom respect is when you don't say any offencive / mean words, and you don't talk back.
In the computer lab - Respect in the computer lab is to respect the equipment like don't steal anything or break anything.
In the hallway - In the hallway respect is when you don't shut off the lights or turn them back on when someone does, and you do not yell in the halls or curse in the hall.
During breakfast / lunch - Respect in the lunch room is when you say thank you to the lunch laddies. Also when you throw your tray away right and don't start any food fights.
When we have visitors on campus - Respect i when you just stay quite and don't pay any mind to them. Don't ask what are they doing here answer their questions and keep working.
When we visit other places - Respect is being on your best behavior, such as if your in the lunch room don't leave a mess. Be nice to the students and teachers there. Don't act out and be bad then they wouldn't want you to go back to their school.
